All incoming First Year students and families are encouraged to attend our “Preparing for your Advising Appointment and Registration” Zoom Information Session on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 9:30-11 a.m.
Computer 科学 Placement Exam
All incoming First Year students who intend on pursuing Computer 科学 courses at 澳门金沙线上赌博官网 and with prior experience in programming but no pending external credits for CSCI 1320, are required to take the placement exam to determine whether they begin the sequence with CSCI 1320 or 1321.
Students are encouraged to attend the Computer 科学 Placement Information Session on June 3, 2024 from 11-11:30 a.m. CDT.
Available June 4, 2024. The exam will remain open through August 26, 2024.
Students must complete their Computer 科学 Placement Exam(s) one week prior to their academic advising appointment this summer!
Language Placement
澳门金沙线上赌博官网’s Pathways’ Curriculum requires that all students complete an Ancient or Modern Language at the Intermediate I level. 像这样, all incoming First-Year students are asked to take a Language Placement Exam so that we may ensure that they begin learning at the proper level of instruction. (Note: Students who plan on beginning their Ancient or Modern Language at the Introductory Level I are not required to take the placement exam).

Online Language Exams
Available for 西班牙语, 法国, 德国, 拉丁, 中国人 (simplified and traditional)
Administered June 7 and July 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. CDT
Registration deadline is June 5, 2024 via the language placement exam form. Students who may need accommodations for their language exam should contact Student Accessibility Services.

Math Placement
All incoming First-Year students who are STEM intending or planning on registering for a Math, 科学, or Engineering course (irrespective of pending external credits) are required to complete the appropriate math placement exam(s) before registering for courses this summer. Taking the test(s) allows students to register for the correct course level as it seeks to assess curricular proficiency, even before external credits are officially received, 评估, transcribed by the university.
Students are encouraged to attend the Math Placement Information Session on June 3, 2024 from 9:00am to 9:30am CDT.
Available June 4, 2024. The exam will remain open through August 26, 2024.
Deadline for completing the exam(s) is June 21, 2024. Students must complete their Math Placement Exam(s) one week prior to their academic advising appointment this summer!
Music Theory Proficiency Exam
All incoming First-Year students seeking enrollment in the music theory course sequence must take this exam.
